Do you ever wonder how things can be perfectly symmetrical, repetitive and colorful? I do and I often find myself amazed and mesmerized with the Natural World! This is an interesting little tidbit...
Did you know that some plants and animals have an inner clock that tells them what to do? Predictable plants like the White Water Lily opens by 11AM and closes by 2PM. A Morning Glory opens at 10AM and closes by evening! Marigolds are the early risers, up and adam at 7AM and to bed by 7PM! To learn more about your own biological clock and those of plants and in Nature click on the following link! This is also a great Classroom Activity for K-2!

You can teach a Bee to tell time?
Put a little honey on a teaspoon. Place it outside in a spot not too close to the house but, close enough that you can observe! If you place a fresh spoon out at the same time each day the bees will come back each day! They learn to expect the treat!
NOTE: Be Careful! Bees can sting! Kids should make sure to do this with an adult!
